What do you believe about discipling and teaching children?
We believe parents are the primary disciple-makers in the lives of their children. We desire to walk alongside families by encouraging, supporting, equipping and resourcing them to the mission God has called them to.
Because God meets us where we are, we desire to engage children where they are, at every age and stage of a child’s development. We want kids to enjoy learning about Jesus and being together. Discovering truth in God’s Word shouldn’t be boring!
We believe that we, as a church, should partner with parents/ caregivers to equip and provide them with resources to shepherd their children well. We believe that as a church body, we should regularly pray for our families and children.
What curriculums do you use?
Refresh Community church currently utilizes the First Look curriculum from Orange for our kids ages 2 through Kindergarten. It provides weekly content that seeks to lead these young children to grow up believing that 1) God made me, 2) God loves me, and 3) Jesus wants to be my friend forever.
For more information on the curriculum you can visit thinkorange.com or download The Parent Cue app for resources.
Our 1st through 5th grade useThe Gospel Project for Kids (Lifeway). Each month kids explore a Big Picture question (ie. What is worship?, Does God keep His promises?). Going chronologically through the Bible, The Gospel Project uses three year cycles going from Genesis to Revelation.

Child Dedication
A special time for the church and parents to corporately dedicate themselves the raising of young children in the ways of Christ. Commemorate the birth or adoption of a child corporately. Parents dedicate their children because we believe they are the primary faith influencers in their child’s life. We believe parents/caregivers are not in this alone. We, as a church, want to partner with parents to equip and provide you with resources and support as you lead your family. It is also the desire of our entire church body to pray for and shepherd families and their children.
